Abstract. The modern information technologies provide exclusive opportunities for communication between users located in different geographical locations. There are a number of software and hardware sys-tems that have found their use in communication between common consumers or businesses. On the other hand, there is a delay in the introduction of these systems in education. The aim of the paper is to examine and propose different variants for implementing videoconferencing in performing activities of a university. Pre-sented is the practical experience of the authors in the use of videoconferencing for specific administrative and academic activities.
